Pop’s Model A Roadster Pickup
Here is Ma and Pa, out for a drive. Check out the build….

This project started life as a complete rolling chassis, ideas of a speedster were thrown around, as well as just mounting some extra body pieces together. The next few photos are a 29 roadster cowl and a 20’s dodge rear section…

Walking around the fathers day roadster show (08), Pops and I stopped to talk to Brookville. Since my father has always loved pickups, he made the decision to purchase a roadster pick up (great choice pops). The next time Brookville would be in California would be the Pleasanton, Ca show, a few months away, and a road trip was planned. Here we are picking up the body, our muscle (my cousin) in the shades, helping the Brookville fellas load up…

On the way home we stopped to say hello and eat with my baby brother (Matt) in San Luis Obispo. Good times…

So mock up started on the Brookville body. Door fitment, wood blocks, hood, floors, windshield, plumbing, etc…

After the disassembly, this is pick up day from painter Bobs place. Pops picked a 60’s mercedes color…

Here are some pics of the wood bed and floor that Pops finished while the sheet metal was at paint…

Here are pics durring assembly…

When the model A stops by on the weekends, all you hear are my girls say “o me in Papa’s car” and they jump on that seat like crazy…

Thanks for looking,
Brian Sperling
